1.Introduction to Alumni Association

The Beijing Jiaotong University Alumni Association is part of the Jiaotong University Alumni Association. The Jiaotong University Alumni Association is an officially registered civil society organization approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. It is composed of alumni from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, and Beijing Jiaotong University.

The purpose of the Beijing Jiaotong University Alumni Association is to strengthen the relationship between alumni at home and abroad, their alma mater and alumni, unite and serve the alumni, develop and expand the good traditions of Beijing Jiaotong University, give full play to the intellectual advantages and extensive influence of alumni at home and abroad, and jointly make  contributions to the construction and development of BJTU and China.

Alumni organizations of Beijing Jiaotong University are spread all over the world. As of the end of 2020, 53 alumni organizations have been established in three categories: region, industry, and college. Among them, 31 are in domestic regions, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and covering more than 90% of the provinces; 10 overseas, covering 6 countries including the United States, Mongolia, Japan, Canada, Australia, and Vietnam. There are 4 branch alumni associations of finance, accounting, logistics and urban rail transit and 8 college alumni associations.

The alumni association focuses on contacting alumni, serving alumni, and strengthening the relationship between the University and alumni. The association exploits and integrates alumni resources through multiple channels to build a diversified, extensive, comprehensive, dynamic and spontaneous alumni economic system. It builds alumni brand in multiple directions, inherits the culture of the University, establishes alumni image of the University, and also develops alumni services in multiple dimensions, promotes the circulation of alumni resources, standardizes alumni Organization and management, strengthens the connection between alma mater and local cooperation and builds alumni-enterprise cooperation platform to deepen the integration and innovation of school disciplines and industry fields. Besides, the alumni association carries out alumni activities at multiple levels to increase the intensity of alumni information mining, expands the four-stage education concept of "selection, training, sending and support" to advance the stereo life-long education system.

Nowadays 53 alumni organizations at home and abroad are active all over the world and become the home of alumni everywhere. They perform the functions such as uniting the alumni, serving alma mater and paying back society. Alumni associations will continue to explore new models of alumni work, explore new forms of alumni activities, and create new platforms for alumni contact, making them important bridges and bonds to help with alumni’s growth, support the development of alma mater, and promote social progress.

1) The“Back to Alma Mater”online-celebration of 90th, 00th, and 10th BJTU-Alumni and the Ginkgo Season Carnival were successfully held

2) The joint meeting of the Chairmen and Secretary-Generals of the alumni organizations of Beijing Jiaotong University was successfully held.
